Alice Thun Felt Toy Workshop

In March 2019 and through our generous partnership with the New Zealand embassy, Pomelo For Myanmar received interest from five producer groups to learn more about the use of Felt as a medium to design gifts and toys. Our groups learned how to best care for the material, shapes and designs, as well as presenting as an item to sell. Alice Thun Newspaper Craft Workshop

In June 2019 Alice was back again with Pomelo For Myanmar, this time working with eight producer groups to help turn old news into flashy new and recycled baskets; polished with a special material to help your new item survive the elements. Our groups learned how to lay out, roll, weave, and manufacture a portable and good for the environment item which will hit Pomelo shelves during the rainy season.
